Fred A. Brink Jr., of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014.
He was the husband of the late Merle Brink; and father of Frederick Brink III, Suzanne Nobles, Rozelle Hughes; Mark Brink, and the late Laurie Hutchinson.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Terri,Jason, Natalie, Fritzie, Joshua, Jacob, Anna, Amy, Kimberly, Bailee, Douglas, Mark, and Travis; and great-grandchildren, Morgan, Dylan, Lily, Jason, Avery, Turner, Ailidh, Devin, Chloe, Claire, and Wyatt.
A memorial Mass was held on Sept. 27 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Place, Slidell.

James Richard Woodward passed away on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014.
He was 61 years old.
He was born to James Jr. and Joyce Clark Woodward.
Woodward accepted Christ at Temple Baptist Church at the age of 12. He was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed singing. He was a retired teacher having worked for the Franklin Parish and St. Bernard Parish School System.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; brothers, Tommy Woodward of Winnsboro and Jerry Woodward and wife Gay Lynn of Hampton, Ga.; sister, Sandy W. Osborn and husband J. Neal of West Monroe; four nephews, Trey Osborn and wife Shelley, Luke Osborn, Kyle Osborn and wife Leslie and James Brandon Woodward; and great-nieces, Mady Osborn and Abby Osborn.
Pallbearers were Raymond Helams, J. Neal Osborn, Kyle Osborn, Luke Osborn, Trey Osborn, James Brandon Woodward, Jerry Woodward and Tommy Woodward.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 27 in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home.

John Penton Jr., of Pearl River, passed away on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014.
He was 77 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn Penton; children, John J. Penton III, Pamela Diane Harper, Willard Wyatt Penton, Ervin Dwayne Penton, and Edwin Dwight Penton; brother, Charles Penton; sisters, Betty Learch and Vera Necaise; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Penton is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Penton; daughter, Cathy Elizabeth Penton; sister, Ida Provost; and brothers, William, Marvin, and Herman Penton.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 30 from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.

Louise Augusta Caire, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014.
She was 92 years old.
She was the daughter of the late Louise Mercier Caire and Leo Achilles Caire; and sister of Estelle Caire, Gloria Groh, Florence Mims, the late Doris Nolan, Robert Caire, Ronald Caire and Leo Caire.
She was a native of New Orleans, a former resident of Chalmette, and a resident of Slidell since Hurricane Katrina.
Graveside services were held on Sept. 26 at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, 1401 Louisa St., New Orleans.
Masses preferred in lieu of flowers.

She was 63 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Smith; children, John Bennett (Tracey), Steven Bennett (Savannah), and Julie Bennett Lee (Ross); sisters, Jean Pellicano and Annette Kuntz; and 12 grandchildren Leigh, Ethan, Kaiden, AnnaBella, Lukas, Jared, Jakob, Jullian, Christian, Tanner, Carter, and Elizabeth Jo.

Emilda Rayburn Singletary passed away at her home on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014.
She was 83 years old.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Ed) Edward Singletary; parents, James Rayburn and Emma Lott; sister, Vivian Keaton; and brothers, J.W. Rayburn and Quitman Rayburn.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Menne, Pat Sanders, and Gay Nell Williams; husband, Wayne; and a dear friend of the family, Robert Fowler.
She had six grandchildren, Phyllis Ard, Donna Murphy, Warren Penton, Amber Penton, Crystal Gravois, and Sheila Varnell; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a life member of the Post 5174, holding many offices.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 27 at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.

Mari Joyce Yarborough Lower passed away on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014.
She was 68 years old.
She is survived by husband, Michael Lower; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Scott Powers; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Richard Anderson; grandchildren, Magen Brooks, Cheyenne Brooks, Taylor Anderson, Ty Anderson, Jessica Powers, and Ralph Powers; and great-grandson, Aiden.
Lower was born on February 15, 1946, in Arkansas. She has lived in Greenville, Texas but made her home in Slidell for many years and has resided in Carriere, Ms. since 2005.
A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.

Lionel Paul Lemoine passed away on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014.
He was 77 years old.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Craddock; step-children, Yvette Ringold, Eric Boe, and Chris Bondi; and sister, Sandra Mouchon.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Darren and Derrick Craddock.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at D.T. Williams Funeral Home located at 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, on Saturday, Oct. 4.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. with service starting at 7 p.m.
