Valerie Seale Monahan Bowser, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014.
She was 61 years old.
She was the wife of Kyle David Bowser; mother of Ryan Monahan, and the late Keegan Monahan; and daughter of Charles and Janet Seale.
Born in Picayune, Ms., and a longtime resident of Slidell, she retired from the St. Tammany Parish School System after over 30 years of service. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Master’s Degree in psychology.
Bowser was an active member of Tammany Yacht Club, she served as House Committee Chairman and was a former President of the First Mates. She worked as a personal trainer for Cross Gates Family Fitness for over 15 years.
A memorial service was held at Christ Episcopal Church, in Slidell on June 4.

Eric Paul “Pee Wee”?Fabre, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014.
He was 20 years old.
He was the son of Milisa Hubbard (Sonny) and Jack Fabre (Michelle); brother of Blake Fabre (Brittany) and Allie Hubbard; and step-brother of Megan Balladares and Raymond Balladares.
He is also survived by his fiancé, Taylor Tycer; grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Fabre was a native of Slidell and a graduate of Northshore High School. He was a senior at LSU where he was enrolled in the Wildlife and Fisheries Federal Program.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell, on Tuesday, July 24 at 6 p.m.
Visitation at the church on Tuesday after 4 p.m. until funeral time.

Glynn A. Fairburn, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014.
He was 88 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Allen Fairburn and Leah Marie Berthelot Fairburn; and brother, Curtis B. Fairburn.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years and Slidell High sweetheart, Eloise.
He is also survived by children, Karen Taylor, Keith Fairburn (Janet), and Kim Steed (Wayne); four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Fairburn was born in Livingston, La. and lived there until his early teens. In Slidell, he attended junior high and high school until graduating in 1944. Then he was drafted into the Marine Corps, trained in California, and sent to the Pacific Theater to join the new Sixth Division. The Sixth Division landed at Okinawa on April 1, 1945 and fought the battle to its end.
He was wounded, recovered, and then sent to Guadalcanal. The second atomic bomb was dropped on Japan and the war was over. The Sixth Division and other forces landed in Honshu, Japan on August 30, 1945 for Occupation. The Sixth Division was then disbanded.
When the new Slidell High School was built and its students were moved, the old school became Slidell Jr. High. Fairburn had just earned his M. Ed. at LSU. He was chosen to become the new principal at Slidell Jr. High. He later became a Supervisor of Upper Education and Vocational and Textbooks in St. Tammany Parish until retirement on September 30, 1972.
There will be a military committal for Fairburn at the new Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on, Monday, June 30 at 2 p.m.
The family prefers that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Leukemia Society, or to Parkinson’s Society, or to the charity of their choice.

Denny Palazzo, a former resident of Chalmette and Lacombe, and a resident of Diamondhead Ms., for the past eight years, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014.
He was 68 years old.
He was the husband of Sharon W. Palazzo; father of Stacy Hein (John), Stephen Palazzo (Christina), Michael Palazzo (Alicia), Brandi Denn (Gregory), George Haley; son of Lottie Palazzo and the late Angelo Palazzo; and brother of Melanie Schilling, Kevin Palazzo, and the late Richard Palazzo.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on June 24 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.

Mildred Terral Allen, a retired registered nurse, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014.
She was 86 years old.
She graduated from Charity Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 and then attended LSU School of Medicine for one year while working full-time at Charity Hospital. Before retiring in 1991, she spent over 30 years working with alcohol and drug abusers.
Allen was a native and lifelong resident of Slidell.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Warren G. Allen; daughters, Renee D. Radabaugh and husband Ron of Delray Beach Florida and Renita S. Woods and husband Eddie of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and stepdaughter, Elizabeth Allen and partner Cynthia Rangel.
She is also survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister, Yvonne Parks; sister-in-law, Vicki Terral; and brother, James McBride.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene Emile Terral Sr. and Carol Lee Henley McBride; sisters, Jeanne “Tiny” Parker, Ruby Joyce Taylor, Donna Leah Gauley, and Patricia Ann Ward; and brothers, Rene “Bubby” Emile Terral Jr. and William McBride.
Allen was a member of the Slidell High 50 year club since 1996 and chair-woman since 2007.
Funeral services were held on June 20 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.
