Paul Barry Rogers, of Pearl River, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014.
He was 65 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen Rogers; children, Jason Alan Rogers and wife Rachel, Deborah Sue St. Pierre’ and husband, Scott, and Helen Michele Rogers; brothers, Lee Douglas Rogers and wife, Rosemary, Dale Rogers, and Terrance Rogers and wife, Carolyn; sister, Patricia Rogers Demore; grandchildren, Anthony Rouyea, Kristan Lavigne, Chelsea Rouyea, Amber St. Pierre’, Woodrow St. Pierre’, and Alexander Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Silas Rouyea, Jada Lavigne, Makenzie Lavigne, Mekaylyn Lavigne, Isabel Rouyea, Isiaha Giordano, and Maya Giordano.
Rogers is preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Dorothy Rogers; and son, Paul Barry Rogers Jr.
Funeral services were held on August 13 from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.
Interment followed at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell.
Jacqueline Rose Davidson Herndon passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014.
She was 88 years old.
She was a retired nurses aide at Slidell Memorial Hospital and the mother of two children, Thomas Davidson and the late Carmen Ruiz.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Sharon Roy and Sean Ruiz, Philip Davidson, Jody Arelt, Jason Davidson and Anita Jackson; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Walter F. Davidson; and second husband, Jim Herndon; and three brothers.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 9 at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.

Anthony Smith, a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014.
He was 89 years old.
He was the husband of the late Pauline Smith; and father of Beverly Nance, Toni Chalaire, Bonnie Alonzo, Anthony Paul Smith and the late Betty Benfatti.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was formerly employed at American Marine Shipyard and was a former guard at the Orleans Parish Prison for Charles Foti.

Shirley Neff, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
She was 81 years old.
Neff was born on July 2, 1933, on a ranch near Canadian, Texas. She graduated from Amarillo College and worked in accounting at the Louisiana Gas Company in Slidell for over 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, E. Carl Neff; daughters, Judy Neff and husband David Trevino of Albuquerque, NM, and Linda Tidwell of Amarillo; sister, Dollie Fulks of Amarillo; granddaughters, Jennifer Webb and husband Tyrel, and Jessica Tidwell; and four great-grandchildren, Bella, Hannah, Bennett, and Emily.
Shirley Burkhardt DeMello passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014.
She was 99 years old.
She is survived by sons, Merrill James DeMello, Howard Hale DeMello Jr., and Joseph Philip DeMello (Audrey Ann Barnewold DeMello).
DeMello is also survived by grandchildren Debbie, Chris, Ben, Jason, and Merrill; step-grandchildren, Bobby and Tara; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard DeMello Sr.; parents, Joseph and Laura Burkhardt; daughter, Laurielea Shirley Chauvin; brothers, Herbert Burkhardt and James Burkhardt; and sisters, Mildred Barthelomew and Elsie Hill; and grandchild, Roseanne.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 9 at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.

Pamela Whaley Menard passed away on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at 3:25 p.m.
She was 54 years old.
She was the wife of the late Wayne P. Menard; mother of Kerri and Justin Menard; grandmother of Kyra, Christin, Miranda, Chelsea and Joseph; daughter of Kathleen B. Whaley; and sister of Paula Whaley Woodman.
Private services will be held by the family.

Billy Ray Ashe passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
He was 66 years old.
Ashe honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by children, Paul Allen Ashe and Nikkole Raenette Ashe Strain; son-in-law, Russell Strain; sister, Sue Ann Merritt; and grandchildren, Christopher, Dallas and Benton Ashe and Claire Strain.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ashe; and parents, Bidual and Eva Ashe.
Graveside funeral services with military honors were held on August 11 at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, La., under the direction of D.T. Williams Funeral Home.

Joyce Jeschke Probst, of Slidell, passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, surrounded by her children and sister.
Probst was born May 25, 1934, in Hamilton, Texas, the daughter of the late Ben and Lillie Jeschke.
Survivors include her children, Brent and his wife Kathleen of Youngsville, La.; Brandon and his wife Lisa of Lafayette, La.; Brietta and her husband Jim of Huntsville, AI; and Brad and his wife Caroline of Seattle, Wa.; sisters, Imogene Goins of Gatesville, Texas, and Betty Hardin of Hamilton, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
Services were held August 13 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 57210 Allen Road, Slidell.
