Carol Kelleher Farrell passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014.
She was 76 years old.
She was the wife of James C. Farrell of Slidell.
She was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on December 16, 1937, to Eileen and Joseph Kelleher.
She graduated from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in education. After her marriage in 1961, she moved to Portland, Connecticut, where she was the past president of the Portland Junior Women’s Club.
In 1970, Farrell and her husband moved to Slidell where she was an active volunteer and involved in many community clubs. Besides being an avid bridge player, she was a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader, past president of the Florida Avenue P.T.O., a board member of the Slidell Newcomers Club, board member and patron of the Slidell Symphony, former patron of the Slidell Little Theater, member of the Diamondhead and Pinewood Country Clubs, board member of the Slidell Inner Wheel, board member and contributor to Rainbow Child Care, member of the Camellia Club, Bayou Liberty Garden Club, and Pinewood Country Club Garden Club.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; and children, Kathy F. Hogan and husband Ron, Beth F. Miller and husband Patrick, and Michael Farrell and wife Kathy. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Christopher Hogan, Drew Hogan, Layne Miller, Michael Miller, Sean Farrell and Emily Farrell.
In addition, she is survived by her sister, Jeanne K. Cutler, of Worcester, MA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rainbow Child Care, 121 Kingspoint Blvd., Slidell, LA 70461.

Anthony ‘Tony’ Charles Spiehler, of Slidell, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014.
He was 58 years old.
He was the husband of Pamela Dixon Spiehler; father of Jennifer Spiehler Dominique (Dennis) and Melena Spiehler Hatcher (Justin); step-father of Mickey Authement (Cheri), Erika Dykes (Barney) , and Regina Lambert (Adam); brother of Eva Paulette Spiehler Farnen (John) and Rita Spiehler McMillan (Robin Roshto); and son of the late Anthony Francis Spiehler and Mazie Vaughn Spiehler.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Savannah Dominique, Cole Lambert, Joey Authement, Austin Dykes, Destiny Dominique, Ashley Authement, Kathleen Dykes, Skyler Lambert, Laci Dominique, Alli Dominique, Juliana Hatcher, and Macie Hatcher.
He was a lifelong car enthusiast and long term member of the Big Easy Mopar Association.
Memorial services were held on Nov. 3 at First United Methodist Church of Slidell.

Girod B. Lewis passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, in Slidell.
He was 83 years old.
He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army as a medical technician for over 23 years.
He is survived by sons, Jeffery (Sherri) Lewis and Corwin Lewis; grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and special cousin, Myrtle A. Smith.
Services were held on Nov. 4 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Slidell.

Lillian Ruth Morgan passed away on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014.
She was 76 years old.
She is survived by children, Frank Morgan (Paula), Vivian Stoddard ( Ricky), Joy Drawdy ( Dwayne), Raymond Roques (Dee), Beverly Lawler (Keith), Ricky Roques (Stephanie), James Morgan, Alice King (Allen) and Tammy Hall; siblings, Laura Piazza (Paul), Coleman Morgan and Peewee Morgan; 18 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August Morgan and Myrtis Morgan Barker; grandson, Kevin Anthony Stoddard Sr.; and brother, Jerry Morgan.
Graveside services were held on Nov. 3 at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery, located at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, La.

Granville James “J.R.” Rabalais Jr., of Slidell, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014.
He was 57 years old.
He was the husband of Laura Scallan Rabalais; father of Amber Scott (Tommy), Andrew Rabalais and Abbie Lewis (Taylor); son of the late Granville J. Rabalais Sr. and Kelly Lemoine Rabalais; and brother of Bernie Rabalais, Myrna Lukacs, Margerite Ortego, Theresa Knott and the late Flo Rabalais and Alice Galland.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Adeline Scott , Preslie Lewis, and Evy Kate Lewis.
He was a native of Avoyelles Parish and resident of Slidell for many years. He was a Port Engineer for Canal Barge Company.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 950 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell, on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.
Visitation at the church on Saturday after 9 a.m. until funeral time.

Susan Campise, a longtime resident of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for the past nine years, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
She was 73 years old.
She was the mother of Lauren Murphy (Matt), and Delise Campise; daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Deluzain; and sister of the late Joan Sincere and Barbara Delbert.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Kaitlyn Murphy, and Jillian Murphy.
She worked at Touro Infirmary and Children’s Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Campise’s memory to Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) or American Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, on Friday, Nov. 7.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with the service beginning at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery #1 in New Orleans.
