MARIBETH CLEVELAND FOGG

Maribeth Cleveland Fogg, age 82, was born in Stamps, Arkansas on June 12, 1941 and passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2023 in Slidell, Louisiana. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Maribeth was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Slidell up to the point where her health did not allow her to attend. She was blessed with a beautiful voice with which she enjoyed singing hymns up to the day before her passing singing “When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder I’ll Be There.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Grace Cleveland, formerly of Lewisville, AR; the father of her two children, Dixon Beasley Jr., formerly of Stamps, AR; her sister, Christine Oglesby and her husband Minor Oglesby, formerly of Hot Springs, AR; her sister, Dorothy “Dot” Kitchens, formerly of Lewisville, AR; her brother, Virgil William Cleveland Jr., formerly of Spring, TX; and her granddaughter, Jessica Toohey Ashcraft, formerly of Slidell, LA.
Maribeth is survived by her daughter, Angela Toohey, of Slidell, LA; her son, Dixon Beasley III and his wife Jennifer, of Hattiesburg, MS; grandchildren, Joshua Toohey and wife Heather, of Slidell, LA; Lauren Beasley Brown and husband Ethan, of Austin, TX; and Stephanie Beasley Gastrock and husband Logan ,of Fort Worth, TX; and eight great-grandchildren, Brooke Toohey Walker (husband, Korben), Makayla Toohey, Jeffery Toohey, Abby Ashcraft, Austin Kipp, Ethan Kipp, Mason Kipp, and Emma Kipp, all of Slidell, LA.
There will be a public memorial visitation on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Summer House/Park Provence Retirement Community located at 1925 Possum Hollow Rd. Slidell, LA 70458. Additionally, the family will have a private service where Maribeth’s cremated remains will be placed in the family plot next to her mother and father in the Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, Arkansas.

MELVIN H. STANDRIDGE

Melvin H. Standridge, age 85, was born in Austinville, Alabama on Nov. 22, 1937, and passed away on August 19, 2023, in Slidell, Louisiana.
Preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Oleen Standridge, and by his brothers, Raymond Standridge and William Standridge.
Melvin graduated from the University of Alabama where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree. His career was with a medical sales company. Melvin loved fly fishing and fly tying and spending time with his Grand Kids.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Standridge, children, Richard Standridge and wife, Sheila and Greg Standridge, Grandchildren, Theresa Standridge (Gregory), Richard Standridge, Jr. (Ashley), Brittany Standridge, Sabrina Gerchow (Dustin), T.J. Gilchrist, Jr. (Tiffany), Almanda Orange and Vernon Orange, Jr.
Melvin is also survived by Great-Grandchildren, Victoria Gerchow, Madeline Onellion (Alex), Joshua Standridge, Dakota, Ariel, Jasmine Nugent, Kayden and Elijah Standridge, Aubree Tarbo, Peyton Gilchrist and Ava and Vernon Orange, Jr. (Samantha) and Great-Greatgrandchildren, Breelyn, Beaux and Miles Blaire.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, La., with visitation from 4 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m.

Rita Sue Jones Westmoreland, age 72, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023.
A native of Corinth, MS, she grew up in Pascagoula, MS, and retired from Chevron after 25 years working in various administrative jobs.
She had a special love for dance, particularly country and ballroom.

Carol Ann O’Brien Brown, age 82, of Pearl River, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
Born in New Orleans, she had been a resident of Pearl River since 1979, she was an avid gardener who loved traveling, nature and hiking.

Patricia J. Aumiller, age 93, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
Born in Kewanee, IL, she lived along the Gulf Coast for many years and had a love for the Ozark Mountains, retiring to Searcy County to a cabin in the woods.
She had a strong Lutheran faith and will be remembered for her love of chicory coffee and her expert fudge making skills.

Peter Joseph Favorita, age 74, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023.
Born in New Orleans, he owned an exterminating business for over 20 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.
