HOWARD PATTON
Howard Patton was born on December 16, 1946, to Thomas W. Sr. and Ima M. Holmes Patton and entered into the eternal rest of his Lord early Sunday morning, March 23, 2025, at his home in Slidell, LA.
He was a kind and humble man who enjoyed an afternoon walk or a chat on the phone. In high school, he had a love for football and track. He graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree and earned his master’s degree at William Carey. On Sundays, he was at “Sunday School” at Calvary Baptist Church in Slidell, LA. His professional career began as a school teacher and coach at St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis, MS. He then transitioned into a successful sales career, working at SEI for over 30 years. The only thing he loved more than work was his family. He was most proud of his son, Kevin, whom he spoke fondly of to anyone who would listen. During his final years, he was blessed with three grandchildren: Amelia (6), KJ (3), and Beckham (1), who would visit and eat all his snacks. Although his memory faded quickly, along with his health, he will always be remembered as a hardworking and honest man and missed by many, especially his family and grandchildren, who did not have the opportunity to know such an amazing man.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents Thomas W. and Ima Patton Sandifer and his brother, Pascal Patton.
His memory will forever be cherished by his son, Kevin (Rachel), and three grandchildren, Amelia, KJ, and Beckham.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Don McClellan officiating. Interment in the New Hebron Cemetery.
