ALAN MICHAEL LOETZERICH
Alan Michael Loetzerich, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 75. He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on August 21, 1949.
Alan was the cherished son of the late Charles and Thelma Loetzerich. He is the beloved father of Taylor McIntyre and was a loving brother to his late siblings, Marlene L. McCarthy and Charles W. Loetzerich III. He is survived by his sister, Linda L. Munroe, who will continue to cherish the memories they shared and is keeping Alan’s retriever, Pup, safe and healthy since Alan’s passing. His niece, Paige McCarthy, will always remember her uncle’s guidance and the joy he brought to family gatherings.
Alan attended Frances T. Nicholls High School. His career in seafood sales was more than just a job; it was a reflection of his love for the Gulf and its bounties. An avid fisherman, he could often be found on the tranquil waters of Louisiana, rod in hand, waiting for the next big catch. He was a familiar face to many, known for his warm smile and the genuine interest he took in the lives of his customers and colleagues.
Music was another of Alan’s passions, providing a soundtrack to his life’s most significant moments. Those who knew Alan will remember him as a man who lived with his heart on his sleeve. His presence could light up a room, and his laughter was infectious. He was a friend to many, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear. Alan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

DONALD HILBERT ‘DON’ STEAD
Donald Hilbert “Don” Stead, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away after a long illness on March 23, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born on July 27, 1946, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to the late Walter George Stead and Mildred Ethyl Stead.
Donald spent his early years in North Brunswick, New Jersey and graduated high school there. He went on to graduate from McPherson College in 1968. It was there he met his wife, Karen, whom he married in 1969. Together, they shared many memories that will continue to be cherished.
Donald later graduated with a Master of Finance from St. John’s University in New York. He moved to Slidell, Louisiana, in June of 1982.
Donald is survived by his wife, Karen Stead; his two sons, Mark Stead (Amanda) and Scott Stead (Laura), both of Dallas, Texas; as well as four grandsons, Tyler, Liam, Mason, and Grant Stead.
Prior to becoming disabled, Don was actively involved in his church and his faith and love for Jesus was strong. While his family will miss him greatly, they take comfort in knowing Don looked forward to going to be with his Lord!
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Slidell at 12 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Samaritan’s Purse. Alton Anthony Rock, Jr., age 75, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Born in Morgan City, LA, he served in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Purple Heart, then later moved to Slidell in 1978 and became owner of Artistic Florist in Slidell.
He was also active with the Northshore Rotary Club and Slidell Chamber, where he served as president in 1993. He was also a passionate advocate for veterans, with memberships in several veteran groups, while also serving at the state level as president of the Louisiana Vietnam Veterans Foundation, as well as a past commander of the Louisiana Military Order of the Purple Hearts.
Arthur Donald Seale, age 88, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Born in Tupelo, MS, he moved to New Orleans at a young age and served in the Army National Guard of the U.S. and Louisiana. He was also a devotee of Bible study and Scripture.
Anthony Joseph DiLeo, age 75, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, after a long battle with heart disease.
A native of New Orleans, LA, he graduated from Cor Jesu High School in 1967, and then from UNO with a Political Science degree.
He was a lover of music, singing and playing guitar, writing music and was an avid painter. He was also an avid lover of dogs his entire life.

Tammy Shea Burns, age 65, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Born in New Orleans, LA, she worked in Early Childhood Education, with 15 years with STARC, then was later a teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School.
Walter Edward Stubbs, age 73, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
A native of Queens County, NY, he went to State University of New York to pursue education, then later began a career with the U.S. Postal Service.
He loved to fish, shoot pool, bowl and play chess, while becoming involved with St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church. He was also involved with the Knights of Columbus.
Mary Lea Dooley DeLong, age 79, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
Born in Fenwick, WV, she had a love for the West Virginia Railroad, which was instilled in her from her father.
Her grand dogs, Callie and Wilma, held a special place in her heart, along with her beloved cats.
Richard “Rick” William Hicks, age 60, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, after a valiant struggle with cancer.
Born in Rochester, NY, he earned his degree from SUNY Pittsburg and became a sales representative at Oneida Limited Silversmiths and The Vollrath Company. He was award the DSM of the Year in 2014.
In his spare time, he enjoyed live music events, as well as sports, foosball, darts, dominoes, poker and horse racing.
