Kyle Ray Gibbs passed away on Nov. 13, 2014.
He was 34 years old.
He was a Slidell native and Salmen High graduate, class of 1998.
He was the son of Eugenia “Genie” Ketteringham Gibbs and Randy Gibbs; father of Shannon Chester, Alexis Gibbs, and Kristian Gibbs; brother of Kristie Gibbs Stoltz; brother-in-law of Ray Stoltz Jr.; and uncle of Colby Wilson, Kairi Wilson, Alex Stoltz, and Ray Stoltz III.
He was employed by Exxon Mobil at the Chalmette Refinery as an automation technician. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 21 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.

Donald Roy Celestine Sr. passed away on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014.
He was 75 years old.
He was the husband to Alice Berlier Celestin; father to Donald R. Celestin Jr. (Susan); Brian K. (Carla); Dana Varnadore (Eric); Barry S. (Tangi); and Edwin P. Gregory III (Joanne); son of the late John Emile Celestin Sr. and Josephine Lobuono Celestin; and brother of John Sr.; Phillip and Thomas Celestin and the late Grace Stubben (Bunky) and Henry Celestin.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Celestine was born in New Orleans and spent the last 29 years in Slidell.
A memorial service was held on Nov. 18 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.

Joyce Miller Savoye, of Slidell, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014.
She was 87 years old.
She was the wife of the late Irwin C. Savoye Sr.; mother of Patricia Savoye Tardiff; Christine Savoye Mahar; and Irwin C. Savoye Jr.; daughter of the late Joseph J. Miller Sr. and Ethel Arcement Miller; and sister of Jerry Miller Ingolia and the late Joseph J. Miller Jr.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Savoye was a native of New Orleans, and a Slidell resident since 1973. She was an avid bowler and attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 15 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.

Gerry Wayne Mizell passed away on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014.
He was 57 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Mitchell Mizell; his mother, Ethel Opal Taylor; daughter, Lori Phiac; step-daughters, Renee Schmidt and Wendi Crawford; step-son, Ronald Crawford; brother, Elroy Mizell Jr.; and sisters, Karen Sue Ferre, and Sandra Lou Sanchez.
Mizell is preceded in death by his father, Elroy Mizell.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 22 at Mizell Cemetery located in Isabel, La.

Nancy “Belinda”?Smith Mertz, of Slidell, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014.
She was the wife of John A. Mertz III; mother of Justin W. Wall; daughter of Nancy P. Smith, and the late David L. Smith Jr.; and sister of David L. Smith III and his wife Jan, and Lee S. Barrilleaux and her husband, Alvin.
She is survived by grandchildren, Cassidy C. Wall, Timothy T. Wall, and Emma Wall.
She was also the sister-in-law of Elliot Mertz and Judy M. Bell.
She loved spending time with her best friends, Karen Labatut (Chickadee) and Gwen Babin (Aunt Gwenie).
A memorial service was held on Nov. 17 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.

Dorothy “Dottie”?Lyons, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014.
She was 85 years old.
She was the wife of Joseph Harold Lyons Jr. for the past 64 years; mother of Sandra O’Flynn (husband of the late Jimmy O’Flynn), Jack Lyons (Barbara) and Lori Offner (husband, the late Don Offner Sr.); daughter of the late John and Estelle Martin; and sister of Gerry Gillen, Janice Barrios, and the late Joan Ahrens.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Jimmy O’Flynn, Jodie Burns, Donnie Offner, Joell Abney, Jonathan Lyons, and Andy Durr; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a native of New Orleans, and a resident of Slidell for the past 23 years. She was a member of Slidell Newcomers Club, and Slidell KC Ladies Auxillary.
A memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd, Slidell.

William “Bill” Joseph Bindewald passed away on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014.
He was 69 years old.
He was a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #60 where he worked hard for many years. After he retired, he went on to work for the next 25 years distributing publications and enjoying life.
Bindewald is survived by the mother of his children, Kay Bindewald; children, Kerry Bindewald and wife Karen, Chris Bindewald, and Cheree Bindewald; and siblings, Terry Heidel, Robert Bindewald Jr., Duhe Bindewald, and Kim Watson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Letiche Bindewald Sr.; and brother, John Bindewald.
A memorial service was held on November 29 at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.

Raymond Gerard Lipps Jr., of Slidell, passed away after a short brave battle with brain cancer, on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014.
He was 71 years old.
He was the husband of 52 years to Dianne Wilson Lipps; father of Sherri L. Pizzolato (Raymond), Raymond G. Lipps III (Susan), Brian R. Lipps (Gina), Michael D. Lipps and Scott W. Lipps (Rachel); and brother of Gloria Wale (late Joseph V.), Elsie Davis (Hank) and Hazel Estave (Robert).
He was “Grumps” to his grandchildren, Christopher Pizzolato, Shelby Pizzolato, Blayne Lipps, Blair Lipps, Savannah Lipps, Scott Lipps Jr. and Samatha Lipps; and a great-granddaughter, Scarlett.
Lipps was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for over 30 years.
He was retired from the Southern Pacific/Union Pacific Railroad after 43 years. He was a member of the Krewe of Bilge, The Poor Man’s Yacht Club, and the Northshore Beach Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 29 at Honaker?Funeral Home in Slidell.

Aldon M. “Boots”?Guillot Sr. passed away on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014.
He was 84 years old.
He was the son of the late Elmire DeVillars and Eno J. Guillot Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Cuccia Guillot; and father of Kathleen Bergeron, Aldon “Manny” Guillot Jr., Nancy Pearson (Kevin), John Guillot (Linda) and Annette DiLorenzo (Joseph).
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Elaine and Brett Bergeron, Adam and Rebecca Pearson, Sarah Guillot, Matthew DiLorenzo; and great-grandson, Cohen DiLorenzo.
He is the brother of Eno J. Guillot Jr., Judy Spunizo, the late Yvonne Mattie, Tessie Gros and Alvin Guillot.
Guillot was a native of New Orleans and resident of Lacombe for the past 37 years. He was retired from the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans after 27 years of service as a welder and superintendent of the machine shop.
He also served as a member of the Harbor Police Department for the Port of New Orleans under Superintendent Joseph Cannatella Jr.

Mitchell “Mike” Zimmer, of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Mississippi, where he was a resident for the past two years.
He was 93 years old.
He was the husband of the late Josephine Julia Buba Zimmer; father of Michelle Boudreaux (Ernest), Laura Chauffe (Milton), and the late Pamela Christine Zimmer; son of the late Anthony and Anna Zimmer; and brother of Bettie Galinis, and the late Anna Jorjovitz, Mary Burda, Steve Zimmer, Beverly Zimmer, Shirley Zimmer, Edward Zimmer, and Anthony “Tom” Zimmer.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Jennifer Rodrigues, and Matthew Chauffe; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa Rodrigues, Madelynn Chauffe, and Keily Reeves.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Zimmer moved to New Orleans in 1962 to work on the NASA Saturn Program, and was a resident of Slidell for the past 18 years. He was a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran, serving as a Chief Torpedo Man, and retired after 22 years of service. He retired from Martin Marietta in 1983.

Rocksand Morse passed away at her residence on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014.
She was 59 years old.
She was a waitress at Waffle House for many years.
Rocksand is survived by her husband of 32 years, John A Morse Jr.; children, Quincy Morse, Donald Michael Morgan, Troy Morgan, Angela Morse and Cindy Morgan; brothers, Travis Hamilton, Will Cantrell, Glen Morgan Jr., Loyd Cantrell, Alton Morgan, Jessie Cantrell and Bruce Cantrell; and sisters, Billie Jean Herdell, Darlene Morgan, Brenda Lucas and Delta Currera.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Kameron, Kadence, Alexis, Makayla, Jacob, Elijah, Nicholas, Donald Conner, Rodney, Chris and Haley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Virgie Morgan; sisters, Denise Morgan and Shirley Hamilton; and grandchildren, Allen, Khloe and Erica.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Nicholas “Nick”?Robert Carman, of Slidell, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014.
He was 20 years old.
He was the son of Gerald and Louise Calico Carman; grandson of the late Patricia Fournier Carman and Robert Carman, Shirley Auzine Calico and Angelo Joseph Calico Jr.; brother of Stephanie Carman Wilder (Roger); and uncle of Connor, Brooke and Tanner Wilder.
He was a 2014 graduate of St. Stanislaus College, Bay St. Louis, Ms.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell, on Friday, Dec. 5 at 1 p.m.

Kyel Eddy Pichon passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014.
He was born on November 19, 1938, and was a lifelong resident of Slidell.
He is survived by children, Loretta Stevens; Larry Pichon, his wife, Judy; Lori Pichon-Milford, and her husband, Anthony; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Bertram Pichon and his wife, Frances.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Delores “Dodie” Pichon; parents, Leo and Agnes Pichon; brother, Irvin Pichon; and son-in-law, Jimmy Stevens.
He was an electrician by trade and a handyman at everything. He belonged to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and served two terms as Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus, Council 2732.

Agnes Therese Young passed away on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, in Slidell.
She was 97 years old.
She was born in Toto, Indiana.
She is survived by her daughter, Therese Annette Fuglaar; son, Larry Pierce Young (Cecelia); and brother, Albino Bau (Kathryn).
Young is also survived by seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Basilio and Mary Bau; four brothers, four sisters, and one great-grandson.

Kenneth Louis Perschall passed away on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014.
He was 73 years old.
He is survived by his children, Karen Perschall Echegarrua (Ivan), Sharon Perschall Howard (Brian), Kenneth M. Perschall (Laura), Shelley Perschall, and Joshua Perschall Lemoine (Lynn); grandchildren, Cameron, Corey, Loriana, Elizabeth, Alexa, Ava, and Lucy; siblings, Leslie J. Perschall Jr. (Charlene), Raymond Perschall (Joann), Barry Perschall (Elsa), Warren Perschall, Diana Perschall Olivieri, and Geralyn Perschall Honeman (Tom); and sister-in-law, Janet Perschall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie J. and Marie Clesi Perschall; and brother, Robert Perschall.

Bettye Catherine Sorrells, of Slidell, passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014.
She was 84 years old.
She is survived by sons, Richard E. Moorman (Terry), John D. Moorman (Kelly), and James C. Moorman (Martha); brother, John Sorrells (Minnie); sister, Harriett Owens (Bo); grandchildren, Brian, Heather, Michael, Jeremy, and Kera Moorman; and great-grandchildren, Cierra and Brenna.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Harvey Moorman; and parents, Harry and Gladys Sorrells.

Linda S. Walters, of Slidell, passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital.
She was 71 years old.
She was the wife of Kenny Walters; mother of James Lynn Anthony, Keith Anthony, and Lee Sanders; step-mother of Michael Walters, and Michelle Schlaudecker; daughter of the late Ralph and Allie Mae Smart; and sister of Miriam Langford.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Drayton, Beryl Marie, Lee Jr., Thomas, Logan, and Saige.
A native of Shreveport, La., she was a resident of Slidell for over 35 years.

Dorothy Louise Sudbury passed away on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014.
She was 84 years old.
Sudbury was born on February 15, 1930 in Estelline, Texas to Jess and Ethel Canafax.
She was an Alumni of Northwestern State University and upon graduation taught nursing there. She served in the nursing field for over 40 years.
Sudbury is survived by her husband of 60 years, Herbert Joe Sudbury; sons, James Sudbury (Lisa) of Terrell, Texas, and Paul Sudbury (Paula) of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Bethany Reynolds and husband Mark, Trevor Sudbury, Joshua Sudbury, and Angela Fleming; great-grandchildren, Jacob Reynolds and Blayne Fleming; and sister, Ella Fay Bordelon.
Services were held on Dec. 4 at the Toledo Bend Church of Christ, Hwy 191, Many, La.
Officiating was Pastor James Tidwell.

Aldon Michael “Manny”?Guillot Jr., passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014.
He was 61 years old.
He was the son of Joyce Cuccia Guillot and the late Aldon M. Guillot Sr.; grandson of the late John and May Townsend Cuccia and Eno and Elmire De Villiers Guillot; brother of Kathleen Bergeron, Nancy Pearson (Kevin), John Guillot (Linda) and Annette DiLorenzo (Joseph); and godfather of Brett Bergeron, Olivia Winters and Alison Thonn.
He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Lacombe for 30 years.

Virginia Lee Suka passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Slidell.
She was 83 years old.
She was a retired boat hauler and mother of six children.
Suka is survived by children, Denise Bryant (John), Peggy Smith, Scott Barnes (Barbara), and Linda Norberg (James); and sister, Ethel Alspaw.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by children, Vickie Lee Pruitt and Sharon Hester-Coe; and brother, Leland Brandon.

Lennie Blackwell, of Pearl?River, passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014.
He was 71 years old.
He was the husband of Nancy Blackwell; father of John Blackwell (Angela Blackwell) Judy Singletary (Aaron Singletary; step-father of Deborah Crawford; and son of the late Frank and Emmy Blackwell;
He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Melissa, Briana, Emily, Jena, Ashly, Mason, and Natalie; and five great-grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Waylon, Carly, and Michael.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Megan Franzen.

Lelia Cantrell Manale, of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
She was 65 years old.
She was the wife of Vincent C. Manale; daughter of the late Emile and Lelia Cantrell; sister of the late Deborah C. Leonard; aunt of the late Derek E. Thomas; and step-grandmother of the late Kerry Snaples.

Candence Sherie Gallois passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014.
She was 37 years old.
She is survived by her daughter, Alexis Gallois; son, Anthony Jordan II; and her fiance’, Anthony Jordan Sr.

Donna Dearie Cuchinotto passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of the late John Anthony Cuchinotto; daughter of Erlene Cuevas Dearie and the late Russell Young Dearie Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Kristen Rose Cuchinotto and Lauren Elizabeth Cuchinotto.
She was the grandmother of Jacob, Brandon, MaKenzie, Donavan, Dru and Chrisette.
She is also survived by brothers, Russell C. Dearie and Derrick G. Dearie; and two brothers, Robbie B. Dearie and Dennis R. Dearie, preceded her in death.

Lucille Pichon, of Slidell, passed away on Monday, Dec. 8, 2014.
She was 96 years old.
She was the wife of the late Cleveland J. Pichon Sr.; mother of Cleveland J. Pichon Jr. (Georgia); Sylvia P. Frierson; Eleanor P. Rodriguez (Max); Paulette P. McClain (Ed); Audrey P. Hebert (Carroll); Lois P. Mixon; and the late Iris P. Chadwick (Clay); daughter of the late Manuel Leonvalle Pichon and Emma Talley Pichon; and sister of the late Alphonse Pichon; Lawrence Pichon; Anatole Pichon; Cora P. Kennedy; August Pichon and Isabelle P. Galatas.
She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 50 great-great-grandchildren.

Mary Harrington Reavis, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014.
She was 84 years old.
She was the wife of the late Henry Clay Reavis Sr.; mother of Henry Clay Reavis Jr. and Mickey Reavis (JoAnn); and sister of James Allen Harrington, Charles B. Harrington, the late Lawrence and Patrick Harrington.
She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary #374, American Legion.

Myrtle Van Tuyl Carron, born on December 9, 1913 in Central America to the late Charles Van Tuyl and Ellen Price Van Tuyl, passed away on Monday, Dec. 8, 2014.
She was 100 years old.
She was the wife of the late Julius Joseph “Joe” Carron for 44 years; and mother of Myrtle Jean Carron Barrosse and husband Lionel, of Mandeville, Jacqueline Carron Lowe and husband George, of Metairie, Barbara Carron Reno and husband Fredrick of Baton Rouge, and Gary Joseph Carron of Mandeville.
She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Robert Barrosse (Lori), William Barosse, Sydney Hazell, Mary Thomas (Gary), Jennifer Frischhertz (Eric), Laurie Brignac (Richard Zipp), Stacy Dunham (Michael), John Joseph Brignac (Christine), Julie Brignac, David Brignac (Angelique), Jacques Brignac (Tara), Dennise Reno, Candace Reno Rovira (Jonathan), Joseph Carron (Jennifer), and Penny Carron; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Joyce Jacques Tarver, of Biloxi, Ms., passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, of cancer.
She was 57 years old.
She was the wife of John R. Tarver, married for over 38 years; step-mother of Robin L. Tarver, Tammy L. Murphy, and the late Scott R. Tarver; daughter of the late Louis H. and Joyce Dubuc Jacques; sister of Rodney Jacques, Bonnie Adams, Faye J. Wooden, and Denise Bangs; and sister-in-law of Shelly Jacques, George Adams, Preston Wooden, and Bobby Bangs
She is also survived by three granddaughters and four great-granddaughters.
She was a native and longtime resident of Slidell and resident of Biloxi for two years. She was a dealer at Beau Rivage Casino for over 18 years.

Brandon Alexander Estes, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2014.
He was 23 years old.
He was the son of Jimmie Estes and Robin Anderson; step-son of Sirena Estes; birth son of Lori Atkisson; father of Chance Alexander Estes; and brother of Bryant Estes (Noel), Matthew Estes, Devin Domingue, Courtney Manning, Shyanne Montgolf, Ashley Atkisson and Meaghan Atkisson.
He is also survived by his grandmothers, June Anderson and Shirley Atkisson.
Estes was a lifelong resident of Slidell.

Damon L. Christian, of Slidell, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
He was 53 years old.
He was the husband of Deidre Christian; father of Brandy Heppel (Joshua), Justin Christian, Rachel Guillory, Alaina Guillory; son of the late Austin and Juanita Christian; and brother of Rebecca Jenkins, Gary Christian, and the late Austin Christian Jr., and Alan Christian.
He is also survived by one granddaughter, Hannah Heppel.
He was a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi, and a resident of Slidell for the past 10 years. He was a member of Slidell Elks Lodge #2321, and was past State President of the Mississippi Elks Association. He was also a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria, Ill.
Memorial services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 10 a.m.

Malcolm Paul Laudun, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014.
He was 79 years old.
He was the husband of Joycelyn Cambre Laudun; son of the late Lawrence J. and Anna Brignac Laudun; father of Keith and Denise K. Laudun, Gregory and Vickie B. Laudun, Bryan Laudun, Albert and Jacqueline L. Gaticia, and Ralph and Jeanne L. Huntington; and brother of Richard Laudun, the late Lawrence J. Laudun, Jr., Leroy F. Laudun, Joyce L. Carrington, Ralph Laudun and John Laudun.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Slidell. He retired from Berner’s Heating and Air of New Orleans.
A funeral Mass was held on Dec. 17 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell.

Aaron “Brother” Amos Jr. passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Earl Amos of Slidell; mother, Mary G. Amos of Opelelousas, La.; daughters, Latonya, Alicia, Erika, Monica, Latoya, and Tarkia; sons, Adrian, Layron, Marvin, Tony, and Stacy; sisters, Bertrella, Pamela, Patricia, Marie, Roma, Charlene; brother, Anthony “Ray” Amos; grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Aaron “Iran” Amos Sr.; brother, Ronald Amos; sister, Gloria Pickney; and daughter, Tess Alicia Amos.

Jacqueline Levy Panks passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014.
She was 82 years old.
She is the beloved wife of the late Edwin Panks of 61 years; and mother of Gwen Venezia, Gaynell Collins, and the late Linda Luther and Lisa King.
She is survived by two sisters, one brother, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
She was a lifelong resident of Slidell, LA, and retired from St.?Tammany Parish School Board after 17 years.

Frances June Singletary Klein passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, in Slidell.
She was 64 years old.
She is survived by her mother, Ethel Provost Singletary; and brothers, Norman Singletary, Carl F. Singletary, Paul Singletary, and Ernie Singletary.
Klein is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
She is preceded in death by her father, Fred L. Singletary.
Klein was a member of Charter Oak Baptist Church located in Pearl River.

Robert (Bob) Swanson, of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, due to complications from cancer.
He was 87 years old.
He was born in a log cabin in Cushing, WI on his family’s farm. He served honorably as an officer in the U.S. Army from July 1944 to April 1953, which included WWII in the Pacific Theatre.
He earned a Civil Engineer BS in 1952 from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Then went on to work for the Exxon oil company as a petroleum engineer where he later retired in 1987. He was a decorated 50-plus year member of the Elks serving as Exalted Ruler of the New Orleans Westbank lodge and a long term member of the Slidell lodge.
He also served as a D.D.G.E.R. and President of the Louisiana State Elks. He initiated the La Elks Fund a philanthropic fund of over a $1M, was a Trustee of the Southern Eye Bank and was the 1999 President of the EXXON Annuitant’s Club of Metropolitan New Orleans.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lois Marcella Carlson Swanson; parents, Elmer and Clara Mariette Swanson of Cushing, WI; brother, Curtis Swanson; and sister, Marion Courteau.
He is survived by his sister, Ginger Bergstrom; children, Steven R. Swanson, Roger L. Swanson (Bonnie), Susan M. Wright, Karen L. Sterrett (John); grandchildren, James Wright (Monique), Christopher Swanson, Matthew Swanson, Andrew Swanson, William Sterrett; and his great-grand-daughter, Reily Swanson.
His burial will be held at a date to be determined in Wisconsin at the church where he and his wife married.
Local services were held on Dec. 29 at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell.

Dr. Mary Raymer, R.N. PhD., NEA-BC, of Slidell, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014.
She was 65 years old.
She was the wife of Doug Raymer for 41 years; mother of Rebecca Vellier (Brian), Jennifer Garrison (Shawn), and Daniel Raymer (Vicky); daughter of the late Lyle and Margaret Edstrom; and sister of Peggy Harrison.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kendall Fisher, Hannah Fisher, Owen Fisher, Christopher Cliburn, Ryan Garrison, and Tyler Garrison.
She was a native of Gordon, Nebraska, and a resident of Slidell for the past 13 years.
Raymer worked for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 38 years before retirement. She was a VA Nurse Emeritus and a member of NOVA, American Nurses Association and NARFE. Mary was a Professor of Nursing for Capella and Pheonix University.
She was a member of the St. Lukes Ladies Club, St. Lukes Ranger Rosary, The Slidell Newcomers Group, Beta Sigma Phi and Red Hats.
Raymer was a faithful active member of Saint Lukes Catholic Church. She was a regular church attender, and a Eucharstic Minister.
A memorial Mass was held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Crossgates Blvd, Slidell, on Dec. 26.

Juanita Saunders Gornor passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014.
She was 69 years old.
She is survived by John H. Gornor, husband of nearly 30 years; daughters, DJuana Q. Beason, and Susan B. Davis; brothers, Charles Saunders and Tommy Saunders; sisters, Frances Beason and Gail Howell; and step-children, Herbert J. Gornor, Doris J. Gornor, Edwin M. Gornor Sr., Donna L. Gornor, and James F. Gornor.
Gornor is also survived by grandchildren, James A. Yarborough IV and Ashley L. Yarborough; and step-grandchildren, Ali N. Gornor.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pearl River for many years.
Gornor is preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Martha Saunders; and sister, Pat Carlton.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 27 at First Baptist Church in Pearl?River.

Gerald Lawrence Provins passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014.
He was 64 years old.
He is survived by his son, Joshua Michael Provins; daughter, Jolene Rose Provins; brother, Michael Alexander Provins; and sister, Linda Ann Jones.
Provins is also survived by one grandchild, Alanna Rose Provins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Majorie and Lawrence Provins Jr.
He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Provins was a member at First Pentecostal Church in Slidell.
Family and friends are invited to attend the services at First Pentecostal Church, 388 Robert Blvd., Slidell, with nightime visitation on Friday, Jan. 2 starting at 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Jan. 3 at 11 a.m.

Alma Wright-Valentine, of San Diego, Calif., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
She was 55 years old.
She was a native of Slidell.
Her survivors include husband, Rueben Valentine of San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Porscha N. Wright, San Diego, Calif.; sons, Jerome A. Wright, San Diego, Calif., and Kelton L. Smith, Slidell; 10 grandchildren; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Alberta Smith of Slidell; sisters, Brenda Smith, San Diego, Calif. and Gail Cooper, Slidell; and brothers, Albert Smith, Marvin Smith, Michael Smith, all of Slidell.
Funeral service were held on Dec. 26 in Glad Tidings Seventh-Day Adventist.

Danielle Suzanne Wust, of Lacombe, passed away in her sleep on Thursday,?Dec. 25, 2014.
She was 27 years old.
She was the daughter of Frederick C. Wust Jr. and Sherry D. Hadley; granddaughter of Hesden and Monda Dick and Frederick and Ethel Wust; and step-sister of Ashley Nichole Gottfredson.
Wust went to High School at Pope John Paul, Slidell, where she graduated top of her class with honors and received an academic scholarship to UNO where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She was President of the Department of Psychology Club and then proceeded to an internship of counseling young women in Covington. She was in the process of pursuing her masters at Southern University of New Orleans. Her dream was to become a forensic psychologist.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 3 at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home in Covington.

Willie Ralph “Wampus” Anderson passed away on Sunday Nov. 9, 2014, at Ochsner Medical Center in Slidell.
He was 61 years old.
Anderson was born on August 3, 1953, and was a lifelong resident of Pearl River.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jason Willie Anderson; his parents, Charles and Mae Anderson; brothers, Charles Shelton Anderson of Slidell and Author Daniel Anderson of Pearl River; and grandparents, Willie and Lil Crawford and E.T. and Mary Anderson.
He is survived by a sister, Janith Lyle of Pearl River; his daughter, Andrea Preveau of Talisheek; his fiance’, Juanita Bellflower of Pearl River; aunt, Nat Penton of Pearl River; and a future step-granddauthter, Destiny Bonura.
He fought a brave battle with liver failure for several years.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 11 at the D.T. Williams Funeral Home of Pearl River.

Charles Jules Talamo, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015.

He was 84 years old.

He was the husband of Joyce Teal Talamo; father of Chuck Talamo (Cindy), Mary Talamo and Lance Talamo (Pam); brother of Anna Schnadelbach, the late Joseph Talamo, Rita Armand, Claudia Buccola and Carolie Troxler; grandfather of Mervin Ory, Marci Ory, Brad Talamo, Melissa Talamo, Clay Talamo and the late Casey Talamo; and great-grandfather of Jaxon Ory and Casey Ann Gant.
He was a retired Electrician with the IBEW Local #130.

Clifford “Dee Da” Clay Ouder Jr. passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at home with his family by his side.
He was 76 years old.
He was a 16-year heart transplant survivor, and he served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963. He was the Director of Special Education of Assumption Parish School Board until 1998.
Ouder is survived by his wife of 38 years, Eddy Anne Clark Giannobile Ouder; son, Jay C. Ouder of Slidell; daughter, Jennifer Ouder and her husband Gary J. Gammon of Slidell; and daughter Melissa Giannobile and her husband Tim Young of Charleston, SC; and his granddaughter, Alexandra McKelvy Young.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford C. and Deola G. Ouder, Sr., his sister, Camille Ouder Coblentz; and son, Joseph Cullen Ouder.

Kathryn Folmar Ross, of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014.
She was 92 years old.
She was the wife of the late R. N. Ross.; mother of Jerry Ross Sr. (Donna); and sister of Annie Lou Crane, Ray Folmar Jr., John Folmar, and Dolly Folmer.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was a native of Goshen, Ala., a longtime resident of Slidell, and former member of Pearl Acres Baptist Church.

Paul Neil Wogan passed away peacefully at his home in Slidell on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014.
He was 98 years old.
He was a homebuilder and real estate developer. A ninth-generation New Orleanian, Paul was born on June 18, 1916 in New Orleans, the second son of Lawrence Andre Wogan and Jeanne Tuyes Wogan.
During World War II, he served as Senior Naval Aviator aboard the battleship USS North Carolina, flying reconnaissance missions that provided targeting information for the ship’s 16 inch guns and rescuing downed pilots. Eventually, with his company Hemard-Wogan, Inc., he began a new venture in St. Tammany Parish with the construction of the first of three complexes which now form the Royal Eden Apartments in the newly developed Eden Isles Subdivision.
Wogan was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Slidell.
Wogan is also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Helen Edwards Wogan; and his brothers, George Tuyes Wogan and Andre Victor Wogan. He is survived by his son, Charles Stuart “Buddy” Wogan (Laurie); and grandsons, Keith (Bryttany), David, and Patrick Wogan.

Patricia Ranson Donnelly passed away Dec. 27, 2014 in Slidell, LA.
She was 81 years old.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bill; daughters, Lynn, Terry (John), and Paula (Jim); sons, Mike (Julie) and Tim (Kim); grandchildren, Ryan (Mary), Kevin (Sarah), Ian, Katelynn, Quinn, Owen, Katie, Matthew, and Kristina; and great-grandchildren, Steven and Emma.

Dennis “DJ” Wayne Swedberg Jr., of Pearl River, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015.
He was 24 years old.
He is survived by his son on the way, Dennis Wayne Swedberg III; parents, Sandra and Dennis Swedberg Sr.; fiancé, Kayla Schoumbrecht; step-daughter, Karmyn Yencho; sisters, Bobbie Swedberg and Nycole Swedberg Smith; brother, Dylan Swedberg; and grandmother, Louise Davis.
Swedberg is also survived by aunts and uncles, Daryl and Debbie Singletary and Glen and Judy Payne; and cousins, Christina Payne, Tyler Payne, Cassie Singletary, and Emily Singletary.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy Alsobrook, Donald and Dorothy Swedberg.

Mattye Foster Alderman passed away in her home on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015.
She was the daughter of Elijah Coleman and Clara Perkins Foster of Port Gibson, Ms.; and wife of Howard Alderman, who she was married to for almost 60 years.
Alderman was proceeded in death by their son, Lee; and grandson, Robert Burge.
She is survived by children, Wendy Shaffette (Ronnie) of Carriere, Ms., Patricia Burge (Bobby, deceased) of Carriere, Ms., Bonnie Holland (Randy) of Picayune, Ms., and Alan Alderman (Regina) of Diamondhead, Ms.
She was the grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by sisters, Alice Alderman of Vicksburg, Ms. and Bettye Anne Lazenby of Petal, Ms. Preceeding her in death are siblings, William (Bubba) Foster, Clara Rose Cox, Haroldene Hudson, and Elijah (Red) Foster.
Alderman’s career as an ER nurse spanned greater than 30 years. She worked at Crosby Memorial Hospital, Vicksburg Hospital and Slidell Memorial Hospital.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Picayune, Ms.
There will be a brief visitation prior to mass at 9:30 a.m.

James P. ‘Jim’ Baillie passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, in Slidell.
He was 76 years old.
Baillie was born on March 3, 1938, in Liverpool, England to Richard and Margaret Baillie.
After having served as a paratrooper in the Royal Air Force, he traveled the world working in construction as an electrician. He met and married Cheryl Balash in Detroit, MI in 1968. The couple had three sons and settled in Slidell in 1978.
Baillie retired from Maersk in 2003. After the passing of Cheryl in 2001, he met and married Mary Najolia in 2004. Together they have five children and seven grandchildren.
Baillie is survived by his wife, Mary Najolia Baillie; sons, Brian and spouse Jamie; son, Kevin and spouse Theresa; and granddaughters, Sophia and Gabbie; son, Steven; step-children, Tracie Carter and Joey Najolia and spouse Brandi; and sisters, Maureen Jursa, Maggie Baillie and Phyllis Spencer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Margaret Baillie; brother, Richie Baillie; sister, Linda Baillie Woodward; and wife, Cheryl Balash Baillie.
A memorial gathering was held on Jan. 9 at St. Margaret Mary Church, located at 1050 Robert Blvd. in Slidell.

He was 34 years old.

Emanuel A. Bourgeois Sr., of Slidell, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014.
He was 90 years old.
He was the husband the late Claire Marie Jeanfreau Bourgeois; father of Emanuel A.Bourgeois and wife, Pat; Louis E. Bourgeois and wife, Margaret; Clyde J. Bourgeois, and late wife Diane; Gerry M. Bourgeois and wife, Elaine and the late Wayne Bourgeois; son of the late Edmond Simon Bourgeois and Ethel Young Bourgeois; and brother of Francis, Raymond, Leo, Ethel Eve, Doris, Mary Rita, Lucille and the late: Joseph and Anthony.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was the longtime owner of Busy Bee Auto Repair and retired from Textron Marine.

Nolan J. Lefort passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014.
He was 68 years old.
Lefort’s mother, Mrs. Ophelia, gave Lefort her love of the arts and shared it with his sisters and brother, Wanda Curole, Donna Lefort and John Lefort.
After a successful career as a science teacher, Lefort returned to school to obtain a Master of Education degree with an emphasis on visual arts. His artwork is in homes and collections across the country.
A celebration of Lefort’s life was held on Jan. 10 at the First United Methodist Church in Slidell.

Coralie Serio Babineaux, of Slidell, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015.
She was 85 years old.
She was the mother of Carolyn P. Brindell (Jack), Maria P. Kain (Raymond), Rosanne P. Rinker (Zack), Donna P. Leitz (Irwin), Dolores P. Catanese (Robert); and Teresa P. Stanford (Sal); daughter of the late Anthony Francis and Ethel May Serio; and sister of Catherine Lambert, Mary Gean Anderson, Patricia Matthews, and Eunice Serio.
She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Carrie E. Kain.
A native of New Orleans, and was a resident of Slidell for the past 35 years. She was a member of the Bellsouth Pioneers Club.

She was 71 years old.

Mary Ann Mansfield Lee passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, after a long battle with COPD.
She was 60 years old.
Lee was born to Margaret and Russell Mansfield on December 29, 1954, in New Orleans.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Szelmeczka Fabich.

Helen “Bunny” Goff Marcussen, retired Ordained Minister at First United Methodist Church in Slidell, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, in Colorado Springs, CO.
She was 91 years old.
She was born in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of the late Mortimer Goff and C. Lara Van Auken.
She graduated from Hope College with a degree in psychology. Then she continued her education with a Masters in Education from McNeese State, a Masters of Christian Education from Emory University and finally a Masters of Theology from Southern Methodist University. She was the first woman to hold the position of Ordained Minister of a large congregation in Slidell. She served as a psychiatric social worker, an advisor for the Young Women’s Christian Association, an English teacher and a high school counselor.
She remarried late in life (near 60) to Charley “Chuck” Marcussen Sr. They were married for nearly 30 years before he preceded her in death in 2012. At Charley’s passing she moved to Colorado to be near her son and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Charles A. “Cappy” Ploegsma (Patricia McIntosh); step-son, Charley Marcussen Jr. (Jackie Dabdoub); grandmother of Angela Roy Jenson (Jake Jenson, Christopher Alan Ploegsma, Celeste Marcussen Hart (Craig Hart); great-grandmother to Maya Thompson, Credence Ploegsma, Purity Ploegsma, Alexis Hart, Will Hart, and Beau Hart; and grandson, Damon Marcussen preceded her in death.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Goff, Laura Goff, Harold Goff and Edith Goff, all of New York and Connecticut.
A memorial service was held on Jan. 12 at First United Methodist Church, 433 Erlanger Drive, in Slidell.

Althea Poole Crippin Evans, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, in Slidell.
She was 78 years old.
She was the wife of the late James L. Crippin Sr., and the late Daniel Evans by second marriage; mother of Leslie Roques (John), James L. Crippin Jr. (Dawn), Tina Guillory (Lee), William D. Crippin (Bonnie), and David G. Crippin (Tammy); daughter of the late William and Amelia Poole; and sister of the late Mildred Barnhill.
She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Luke Guste.
She was a native of New Orleans, a longtime resident of Violet, and a resident of Slidell since 2005. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1955, a member of the St. Bernard Dart League, and an active Slidell Elks Ladies Auxillary.

She was 45 years old.

George M. Powers, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Anne Powers; and son, William C. Powers III.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Saundra; daughter, Lolita Guyllette (Daniel); granddaughter, Christina M. Adams (Jason); great-granddaughter, Sophia Lynn Adams; great-grandson, Nathan William Adams; and sister, Peggy Andrews.
Powers was born in Port Gibson, Ms. to William C. Powers Sr., and Katie R. Powers. He left high school in Jan. 1960 to join the Air Force. After months of computer schooling, he was assigned to Keesler AFB, MS. While at Keesler, he completed high school.
He met his wife, Saundra, who was also in the Air Force. He and his family traveled from Charleston, S.C. to Ft. Campbell, KY to Kunia Naval Station, Hawaii, to Pensacola, FL., to Norfolk, VA., where he retired from the USS Eisenhower, CVN69, Dec. 19, 1979.

He was 87 years old.
He was born September 30, 1927, in Baton Rouge, and lived for more than 40 years in Slidell. He was retired from Lone Star Cement Industries (LA Cement).

Samuel Phillips Sr., of Pearl River, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015.
He was 86 years old.
He was born in West Monroe, La. on August 6, 1928 and graduated from Stark High School in Orange, Texas in 1947.
Phillips was a chairman of Planning and Zoning Commission of Pearl River, served in the United States Marine Corp, and was an engineer by trade.
He is survived by his sons Samuel S. Phillips Jr. (wife LeAnne D. Phillips), George R. Linda Ann Chabreck passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph “Duffy” and Caroline Chabreck; mother of Robert L. Savell (Crystal), Christopher T. Savell (Dana), Melissa J. Savell, and Cory M. Savell (Crystal).
She is also survived by her brother, Larry Chabreck (Velma), 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Jan. 28 at 12:30 p.m. from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time.

Keith Stuyvesant Ingram, Jr. passed away peacefully in Slidell on Thursday, January 29, 2015.
He was 87 years old.
Ingram was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, the son of Keith Stuyvesant Ingram, Sr. and Dorothy Landrum Ingram, each of whom preceded him in death. He was the husband of Margaret “Wendy” Bender Ingram, who also preceded him in death, and is survived by four children, Troy (fiancé, Ann Farmer), Bay (Kristin), Reed and Tara Hunter.
He also is survived by six grandchildren, Christian, Reese, Hayden, Gabriel, Zachary and Hunter Ingram, as well as a cousin, Max Hosfelt.
Ingram graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in civil engineering and subsequently graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps Officer Candidate School. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in 1981.
An avid swimmer and scuba diver, Ingram partnered with a Marine Corps friend, Robert Marx, and was credited with first finding the Union ironclad warship, U.S.S. Monitor, which became famous for its battle with the Confederate warship, the Merrimac, in the Battle of Hampton Roads in 1862. Following the conclusion of the Civil War, the Monitor was lost at sea while in tow, but later was discovered by Ingram and Marx off the coast of Cape Hatteras in 1955.
Ingram began work for the Boeing Company in Florida in the late 50s and 60s on the Saturn booster project, during the formative years of the Gemini and Apollo space programs. He then began work for the City of New Orleans as a member of the Chief Administrative Office in Victor Schiro’s administration. In 1974 he became the first Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Slidell during the administration of Mayor Frank Cusimano and also served as CAO during Mayor Webb Hart’s administration. He retired from the City of Slidell to become a private consultant.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 6 at 11 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 1534 Seventh Street, Slidell. Friends and family are invited to attend the service, with visitation beginning at 9 until 11 a.m.

Allen Marcel Giroir Sr. of Slidell passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015.
He was 79 years old.
Giroir was a retired construction superintendent.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Ducote Giroir; son, Eric Joseph Giroir; daughters, Darlene Giroir Cheri, Charlene Marie Russo, and Debra Giroir Ashley; and sister, Carol Easterling.
Giroir is also survived by 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen Giroir and Lillian Giroir Gaines; and son, Allen Marcel Giroir Jr.
A memorial service was held on Jan. 30 at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.

Ethel Provost Singletary passed away on Friday, Jan. 3, 2015.
She was 86 years old.
She is survived by her sons, Norman Singletary (the late Chyrele), Carl Singletary, Paul Singletary, and Ernie Singletary (Audrey); brothers, Flex Provost and George Provost; and sisters, Sally Broom, Alice Yates (Joseph), Ellen Wilson (Jim), and Mary Ann Schuler (Shelby).
Singletary is also survived by grandchildren, Emily Singletary, Angel Raines (Robert), and Chad Singletary; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Singletary; daughter, Francis June Klein; parents, John Provost and Mary Polk Provost; and siblings, Calvin Provost, Floyd Provost, Ray Provost, Travis Provost, Bessie Singletary, and Shirley Provost.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 3 at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, located at 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.

Captain Craig J. Jennings, NOPD Ret., of Slidell, passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Louisiana Medical Center Heart Hospital in Lacombe.
He was 66 years old.
He was the husband of Jeanette Huck Jennings; step-father of Robbie Egan (Gina), and Mark Egan; grandfather of Leah Egan and Vivien Egan; and brother of Fay Carbo (Butch).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Corinne Jennings.
Jennings was a 39-year veteran of the NOPD and served in various capacities during his distinguished career, including a series of management positions in command of major police divisions. He was twice recognized by the F.B.I. Director for an exceptionally effective public corruption investigation and counter terrorism operation. In addition, he was a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, Va.
Memorial services were held on Feb. 2 at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell.

Jeanette Harper, of Slidell, passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015.
She was 92 years old.
She was the wife of the late Richard Bruce Harper; and daughter of the late James and Cora Metzger.
She is survived by son, Kenneth Harper (Ken) and his wife Cindy Harper; son, Robert Harper (Bob) and his wife Linda Harper (Tippi); three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She grew up in Pennsylvania and worked as a secretary for Air Products and Chemicals until she married the love of her life, Bruce.
The two moved to Slidell in 1966 and volunteered and worked at Slidell Memorial Hospital in the late 1980’s.
A memorial service was held at Park Provence Assisted Living and Memory Care in Slidell on Jan. 29.

Lois Bailey Ehrlicher, of Slidell, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015.
She was 67 years old.

Hubert “Bud” R. Goldston passed away at home on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015.
He was 66 years old.
He is survived by his son, Jesse R. Goldston; grandson, Gage J. Bartholomew; and girlfriend, Debra Debourg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle G. Goldston; and daughter, Misty Bartholomew.
Although born in Ohio, it is Slidell he called home.
Goldston was laid to rest on Feb. 2 at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell.

Marcus Harlan Hines, a resident of Pearl River, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.
He was 71 years old.
Hines had been battling lung cancer since he was diagnosed in late August 2014. His family was by his bedside.
He was born on February 1, 1943, at the home of his parents, Jason and Lizzie Hines, in the Acy’s Creek Community of Washington Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Gayle Swenson Hines; son, Jason H. Hines; daughter, Andrea E. Hines Picou; son-in-law, Scott Picou; and six grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Ida Nell Hines Wright; brother, Rev. Billy Ray Hines; sisters-in-law, Glenda Sue Hines, Dorothy Hines, Kathy Swenson Norton; and brothers-in-law, Douglas Swenson and George Norton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clayton Hines and Rev. Silas Thomas; sister-in-law, Lela Thomas; and brothers-in-law, Winfred Passman and Thad Wright.
He was a member of the Army National Guard spending six months active duty in Fort Knox, Kentucky, and the remainder of his service commitment with the Army National Guard in Franklinton, La. He was Honorably Discharged on September 30, 1964.
He also wanted to serve his community and spent a number of years on the Slidell Memorial Hospital Board and the St. Tammany Planning and Zoning Commission representing the Sixth District. He and his family were members of First Baptist Church Pearl River for more than 37 years where he served faithfully as a member of the Church Choir.

George Wilbert Hastings III, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2015.
He was the son of George W. Hastings and Rose Michel Hastings; husband of Norma A. Hastings; father of children, Michael Hastings of Perkinston, Mississippi and Susan Hastings Secord (Mark) of Pettus, Texas; and step-daughters, Rene Albert Weising (Christopher) of Orlando, Florida and Vanessa Albert Rudd (Howard) of Pt. Pleasant Beach, New Jersey.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Born, raised and educated in New Orleans, he lived in Eden Isles, Slidell, and moved to Flower Mound Texas in 2006. He was a veteran of the Marine Corp Engineer School Battalion, employed by Lockheed Martin, as a construction engineering supervisor, retired in 1998 and Boeing Aerospace, both at Michoud facility.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic, Slidell, on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m.

Michael D. Rendon passed away at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015.
He was born in New Orleans on October 2, 1954, and is survived by his mother, Lynette J. Rendon; brother, Maurice Alan Rendon; son, Tyler Blake Rendon; and a nephew, Leni Andrew Rendon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew J. Rendon; brother, Keith Wayne Rendon; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Merdes Johnson; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rendon.
Rendon was a resident of Pearl River for over 45 years and moved to Baton Rouge after Hurricane Katrina. He graduated from Pearl River High School where he played football, and was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He also graduated from Bogalusa Technical School in Weldling Technology.
He was also a member of the Pine Grove United Pentecostal Church on Chris Kennedy Road in Pearl River.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Jerry J. Siles Jr., A.K.A. “Goat,” of Covington, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015.
He was 31 years old.
He was the husband of Tara Vance; father of Merak Siles; son of Bridgette Eschete Siles, and the late Jerry Joseph Siles Sr.; brother of Dori Siles Loga (Darrell), Samantha J. Siles (Kim); nephew, Luke Loga; and grandparent, Steve Eschete.
He is also survived by his Nanny, Karen; and uncle, Willie Walston, who helped shape his life; son-in-law of Terri and Jack Walbridge; John Vance and Darlene Geumund; brother-in-law of Daniel and Devon Vance; and brothers in Arms; Joey Borzelleri, Larry Robertson, and the late Sheldon Melerine.
Siles was a native of New Orleans, a longtime resident of Poydras, La., and a resident of St. Tammany Parish for the past 10 years.

Valerie Marie Erminger passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015.
She was 86 years old.

Sharon Bennett passed away following complications related to a long battle with cancer.
She was 56 years old.
She was the daughter of the late Bobby and Louise Peek.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Peek of Orlando, Fla., who donated stem cells to Bennett during her cancer treatment.
She is also survived by her husband, J. David Bennett of 35 years; and sons, Joshua Daniel Bennett of Clarksville; and Joseph Carl Bennett and wife Rachel of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
She graduated from Ragsdale High School and from Belmont University with a degree in social work and psychology.

Lester B. “Bucket”?Schellinger Jr., of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, in Houston, Texas.
He was 68 years old.
He was the husband of Deborah Thonn Schellinger; father of Jenny Schellinger Brennan (Ronnie), and Lester B. Schellinger III (Michelle); son of the late Lester and Rita Schellinger; and brother of A.J. Schellinger, and Ronald J. Schellinger.
He is also survived by four grandchildren: Hunter Brennan, Braden Brennan, Sydney Schellinger, and Cole Schellinger.
Schellinger was a native of Chalmette, a longtime resident of Lake Catherine, and a resident of Slidell for the past 11 years.

Anthony Richard (Rick) Fiori passed away in St. Augustine, Fla. on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015.
He was 66 years old.
He was born in Niagara Falls, NY in 1949. From an early age he showed exceptional musical ability and began performing in local nightclubs when he was 15. He became a professional musician, entertaining audiences throughout the East Coast, Midwest and South, almost always on the road. Later in his career, he settled in Slidell, playing clubs in the New Orleans area. When failing health took his ability to perform, he moved to St. Augustine in 2006 to be closer to his family.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his mother, Josephine Fiori; children, ToniLynn (Richard) Fiori Ackler and Jason Fiori, and Derrick (Juliana) Fiori: sister, Pamela (Thaddeus) Zebrowsky; brother, Brian Fiori; and grandchildren, Matthew Tafoya and Richard, Joshua and Christopher Ackler.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony A. Fiori

Michael Martin Mumphrey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, after a lengthy illness.
He was 55 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Twana Cunningham Mumphrey; mother, Jaclyn S. Whittington; father, Rocco Mumphrey Sr.; brothers, Rocco Mumphrey Jr. and Kevin Mumphrey; daughter, Monica Mumphrey; step-son, Russell Rivet; nephew, Nicholas Mumphrey; and sister-in-law, Susan Mumphrey.
He was a native of Metairie and resident of Lacombe.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving the country in the 1970s during the post-Vietnam era.
After the service, he joined the Kenner fire department and rose to the position of captain. He also acted as a sub-contractor for the Army Corps of Engineers and was awarded several certificates of appreciation.
Memorial services were held at the Chapel of Our Lady of Wisdom, 5600 General De Gaulle Drive, New Orleans, on Feb. 10.

Dorothy “Dot” Hebert was the daughter of Percy Medus and Delta Navarre.
She married Harrison Hebert and had one daughter, Cynthia Hebert Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Harry, Riley and Rodney Medus, and husband.
Her life was enhanced by the life of service she gave to her community. She taught CCD to the handicapped in the Diocesan office for Persons with Disabilities.
She served for 18 years on the Commission for the Pastoral Care of the Elderly. She was a Lay Minister in Lafayette General for 15 years.
Survivors include daughter, Cynthia Miller; grandchildren, Bryan Miller, M.D. and wife, Stephanie; Kimberly LeJeune and husband, Troy; and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Connor and Caroline Miller and Jesse LeJeune.

Louis (LJ) Joseph Gleason, United States Navy Veteran, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 5 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
He was 68 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Sylvester Gleason of 44 years; brother to Grace (Sissy) Gleason Lasseigne (husband Raymond Lasseigne); father to Katherine Gleason and Micheal Gleason (wife Jessica Favalora Gleason); grandfather to his princess Shelby Ann Favalora DeNardo (husband Christopher DeNardo, United States Marine) and his tugboat Michael Troy Gleason Jr.; and son of the late Vinda (Sarge) Gleason (retired United States Army Sargent) and Adele Catherine Carday Gleason.

Andrew Leonard Dufresne?Jr., of Slidell, passed away on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015.
He was 89 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Naomi Coffey Dufresne; daughter, Sandra D. Patrick; sons, Andrew L. Dufresne III and Ronald E. Dufresne (Rebecca); grandchildren, Brad Patrick, Erin P. Waite (Mark), Nicholas, Trevor, Remy, Acey and Shay Lu Dufresne; great granddaughter, Charlotte Waite; and sister, Hilda Calhoun.
He was the son of the late Andrew L. Dufresne Sr., and Ophelia Borne Dufresne. He was a native and former resident of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Slidell.
He left high school at age 17 to join the Navy at the beginning of WWII and served aboard the destroyer USS Landsdowne, which carried the Japanese dignitaries out to the USS Missouri to sign the Japanese surrender of WWII.
He served on the New Orleans Fire Department for 25 years, retiring as a District Chief in 1976.

William F. “Will”?Smith, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014.
He was 64 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vicki Swan Smith; children, Kelli L. Crain (David), Adam M. Smith; and grandchildren, Colin Thomas and Madison Crain.
A longtime resident of Slidell, Smith was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Upon his discharge, he worked as a city policeman in Muskogee, Okla. Prior to his retirement in 2001, Smith served as the Supervisory Special Agent in charge of Criminial Investigations for the New Orleans Office.
At his request, he was cremated and no services were held.

Daniel A. Blanc Sr., of Lacombe, passed away on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015.
He was 68 years old.
He was the husband of the late Wilma Rita Simoneaux Blanc from Jeanerette, La.; son of the late Ruth Naomi Helwick born in New Orleans and Spurlock Etienne Blanc, Sr. born in Abbeville, La.; father of Tiffany Ann Blanc, Daniel A. Blanc Jr., Patrick Ansley, Sean Ansley, Darren Ansley, Erin Ansley Miguez and Kathleen Ansley; he is also survived by 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and he was the brother of Mildred B. Silversten and Spurlock Blanc Jr. both born in New Orleans.
He was a native of New Orleans, and a longtime resident of Lacombe. He was an electrician for 30 years at Morgan Electric, and was Special Projects Manager for Hi-Tech Electric for the last 14 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
A memorial service was held on Feb. 21 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie.

Frank Terrell Stoltz passed away on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, in Slidell, at Park Providence.
He was 78 years old.
Stoltz was the third son of the late Edward Stoltz and Olga Schwall Stoltz.
He was a native and longtime resident of New Orleans, Terrell was a U.S. Coast Guard Korean War veteran, and a 1963 graduate of L.S.U.N.O.
He will be greatly missed by his first wife and best friend, Carol.

Myrna Lea Fiorella, of Slidell, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.
She was 85 years old.
She was the mother of William H. Fiorella, Joseph G. Fiorella, Virginia F. Gause, and husband, Frank; daughter of the late Joseph A. Wagner Sr. and Virginia Diemert Wagner; and sister of Shirley Callais, Joseph A. Wagner Jr., and the late Carl Wagner, Ruby McMichael, Amelia Kreher, Lois Brinkman, and Vernon Wagner.
She is also survived grandchildren, Christell Gause, Justin Gause, Haley Duff, and the late Desiree’ Fiorella.
She was a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Slidell.

She was 65 years old.

He was 73 years old.

Patricia Ann Davis Nobles passed away on Monday, Feb. 23, 2015.
She was 70 years old.
She is survived by her children, Jackie G. Nobles (Marlene), Robert A. Nobles (Cyndy), and Amanda L. Ward (Mike); brother, Hugh L. Davis; and sisters, Evelyn Hoffner and Julia Head.
She is also survived by five grandchildren.

Boyd Matthew Bulot passed away at 45 years old.
He was preceeded in death by his mother, Joycelyn “Mama Joy” Aleman Bulot; grandfather, Delmayne J. Aleman Sr.; grandmother, Viola Mallu Aleman; grandfather, Richard J. Bulot Sr.; and grandmother, Imelda Nunez Bulot.
He made his life in Hammond, St. Bernard, New Orleans, and Slidell.
He is survived by his father, Richard “Butch” J. Bulot Jr.; brother, Richie III; sister-in-law, Beth; brother, Karl “Tank”; sister-in-law, Lisa; and sisters, Angelle and Kristine.
A gathering in honor of Bulot was held on Feb. 25 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.

Craig A. Doby passed away on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015.
He was 49 years old.
He was of the Christian faith and was a member of Tabernacle of Faith Ministries, Gulfport.
Doby was employed at Memorial Hospital for over 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Anthony Doby; and one son, Carlos Walker.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Belva Doby; sons, Eric Walker and Richard Doby; daughters, LaToya Thompson and Portia Hall; sisters, Lynette Doby and Alesha (Bryan) Thompson; and seven grandchildren.

She was 72 years old.
She is survived by her husband, William Albert Dornhofer.

He was 81 years old.
He worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 14 years, and Boh Bros. for 14 years. He was a school bus driver for the St. Tammany Parish School board for 13 years, and was a member at Evans Creek Baptist Church.
He was also a member of the Masonic lodge #456 F&AM of Pearl River.

Harper (Alton) of Robert, LA and Barbara R. Maille (Donald) of Holden, LA; daughter-in-law, Michelle P. Anthon of Covington; brother, Paul B. Anthon (Aimee) of Hammond; sister, Eliska A. Fauntleory (J.E.) of Hammond; brother-in-law, Charles G. Walker (Kathy) of Baton Rouge; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Edward Paul Oggs III, of Slidell, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.
He was 56 years old.
He was an employee of the City of Slidell for the past 18 years.
He was the son of the late Edward P. Oggs Jr. and Mary Dwyer Oggs.
He is survived by his two sisters, Colleen Burdick of Bremerton, WA, and Sheila Comeaux of Carriere, MS.
He is also survived by a nephew, Neil Comeaux; niece, Sera Dwyer; great-nieces, Raegan Comeaux and Shea Fuoco Dwyer; and great-nephew, Alex Lujan.

Richard Paul Pichon Sr., of Pearl River, passed away on Friday April 3, 2015.
He was 82 years old.
He is survived by his children, Richard Pichon Jr., Jody Pichon (Peggy), Barry Pichon (Jana), Sheryl Haik, and Marie (Sharon) Crawford (Carl); nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ellen Mohr.
Pichon is preceded in death by his wife, Lurline Inez Pellegrin Pichon; parents, John and Viola Pichon; and sister, Beulah Porter.
A memorial service was held at the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, on April 10 .
The committal service will be held at a later date at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell.

William (Bill) Henry Henning passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015.
He was 47 years old.
He is preceded in death by his son, Brett Michael; parents, Frank K and Barbara J. Henning; step-mother, Ruthanne (Nichols) Henning; and grandparents Floyd and Lillian Haggard and Henry and Anna Henning.
He is survived by sons, William Lee, Jordan Scott and Noah Anthony. He is also survived by his sisters, Ann E. Henning of West Chester, Ohio, Christina (Jack) Henning-Hess of Plain City, and Amy (Steve) Henning-Locke of Hamilton, Ohio; along with uncle and aunt Harry (Judy) Haggard of Lima, Ohio.
Visitation was held on April 13 at the Tri-County Baptist Church-West Chester, Ohio.

Dennis Wayne Midkiff, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
He was 52 years old.
He was the husband of Betty Lavigne; father of Dennis Midkiff Jr., Michael Midkiff and Brandon Lavigne; son of Eva Kelly and the late Milton Midkiff; and brother of Robert Midkiff, Patrick Kelly, Tina Polite, Robin Mason, and Kathy Heffley.
He was a former employee of Slidell Roofing.

Christopher “Chris” Thomas Buniff, of Bremen, Ga., passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015.
He was 28 years old.
Buniff was born April 25, 1986, in Slidell to Ira Thomas Buniff Jr. and Ellen Marie LeBlanc Buniff. He was an assistant manager at Pizza Hut in Bremen.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Nicole Smith Buniff; son, Patrick Thomas Buniff of Bremen; parents, Ira and Ellen Buniff Jr. of Carrollton; and maternal grandparents, Elwood and Laura LeBlanc of Slidell.
Buniff always wanted to return to Slidell. A memorial service was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell on March 27, 2015.

James Christopher “Chris” Moorman, born on July 23, 1957, in Clarksdale, Ms., to the late Richard Harvey Moorman and Bettye C. Moorman Sorrells, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015, at his residence.
He was married to Martha Lynn Provost Moorman for 40 years. They had a son, Timothy Michael “Mikie” Moorman and lived in Pearl River, La. for the past 40 years.
He is survived by brothers, Richard E. Moorman (Terry), John D. Moorman (Kelly), Wayne Long, Gus Long, and Huey Long; sisters, Myra Owens and Faye Giveans; sister-in-law, Mary Provost Smith (Vernon); father-in-law, Willie Provost (Cub); and brothers-in-law, Marvin Provost (Tammy) and Milton Provost (Michelle).
He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Katie Moorman; mother-in-law, Iona Provost (Bootsie); and the late Joe Long and Pearson “Porky” Long.
Funeral services were held on April 16 from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.
Pallbearers were Harbert Smith, Wayne Long, Jonathan Smith, David Provost, Roy Provost and Troy Crain.
Bro. Cark Dickens and Bro. Kyle Thigpen officiated.

Eloise P. Fisher, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015, in Slidell.
She was 93 years old.
She was the wife of the late William B. Fisher; mother of Ermilee Figueroa and William H. Fisher (Karen); daughter of the late Otto and Florence Puderer; and sister of Florence Saucier, Mary Gough, and the late Harold Puderer, and Clifford Puderer.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was a native and longtime resident of New Orleans. She retired as a nurse, from Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 8290, a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, and a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lacombe.
Funeral services were held on April 21 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.

Fred L. Finch III, of Slidell, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
He was 64 years old.
He was the father of Joshua T. Finch (Krystal) and Andrew W. Finch; son of the late Fred L. Finch Jr. and Dorothy McKinney Finch; and brother of David Finch (Pam) and the late Bobby Finch.
He is also survived by granddaughter, Rayne J. Finch.
He was a member of the Northshore Church.

Carroll Newman, of Lacombe, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015.
He was 71 years old.
Newman was a sergeant with the Slidell Police Department, as well as Assistant Chief for Mandeville Police Department. He was a member of Lacombe Masonic Lodge #459.
Newman is survived by his wife, Mary Newman; daughter, Julia Ann Jackson (husband Andy); and grandson, Collin Hunter Jackson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewitt and Eunice Newman; and brothers, Denman Newman and Leon Newman.
Memorial services were held on April 18 from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home, Pearl?River.

Hershell Dewayne Pullens, of Pearl River, passed away on Sunday, April 19,

2015.
He was 42 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Trisha Pullens; daughters, Katie and Whitney Pullens; brother, Chad Havens; sisters, Dianne Pullens, Krissy Watkins, and Peggy Curlee; mother and step-father, Connie and Dan Havens; father and step-mother, Hershell and Karen Pullens; grandmother, Lillian Pullens; mother and father-in-law, Teddy and Lavera Penton; and brother and sister-in-law, Teddy and Tammy Penton.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Ali Pullens; and brother, Ray Pullens.

Suzanne Stilwell passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, in Waycross, GA.
She was born Sept. 16, 1957, in Inglewood, Calif. She was raised and lived most of her life in the Torrance/South Bay area of California. She moved eastward with Gary Green, her longtime partner – first to Slidell then to Waycross.
She was preceded in death by Green as well as her parents, Mary Ann Cooper Stilwell and LaRue Stilwell.
Survivors include sisters, Mindy Kneepkens and Lisa Radeski; and brother, Jon Stilwell.
She was a graduate of El Camino College and South High School, Torrance.
A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25 at El Retiro Park, Torrance.

Edward “Ed”?Fogg Jr., of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015.
He was 81 years old.
He was the husband to the love of his life, Elizabeth Haddad Fogg, for the past 58 years.
He was the father of Lori Fogg Moses (Thomas “Chip”), Ken Edward Fogg (Jessica), Michelle Fogg Neal (Craig), and the late Kip Stephen Fogg; son of the late Edward Fogg Sr. and Iva Parker Fogg; and brother of Floyd C. Fogg, the late Fred Fogg, Milton Fogg, Hazel Kustamacher, Thelma Howze and Hilda Wood.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Tori Moses Williams, Taed Moses, Tarin Moses, Francesca Fogg, Cristina Fogg, Collin Neal, and Calleia Neal.
As a native and lifelong resident of Slidell, he was a 1952 Slidell High School graduate where he held the football rushing record for 38 years.
He was a four year football letterman at LSU and continued to play while serving in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958.
He was the owner of Fogg’s True Value for 40 years and subsequently worked for the La. Department of Agriculture for 10 years.
Fogg taught the sixth grade boys’ Sunday School class at First Baptist Church for 40 years where he was also an ordained Deacon since 1960.
He was a proud member of the Slidell Noon Lions Club and the Jaycees.
Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church, 4141 Pontchartrain Drive, Slidell, on May 6.

Minnie Melissa Felts Sharpe, of Covington, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015, at Greenbriar Nursing & Convalescent Home in Slidell.
She was 96 years old.
She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd R. Sharpe Sr., and her parents.
She is survived by her son, Floyd R. Sharpe Jr. (Charleen); daughters, Dorothy Ann Durham, Patsy Y. Mericle, and Sharon K. Sharpe (Maggie); grandchildren, Wanda, Keith, Leslie, Gina, Melisa and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Autum, Keneisha and Kai; and great-greatgrandchildren, Kalah and Brynn.

Gerard Joseph Hobden, of Slidell, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015.
He was 63 years old.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Frank Hobden, and mother, Lorraine Catherine Zinser Hobden.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Eileen Hobden; children, Lora Poret Matherne (Tim), David Poret (Collene), Richard Poret, Rebekah Poret Carthen, and Dennis Poret (Cortney); brothers, James Frank Hobden Jr. (Bonnie), Jeffery Andre Hobden (Xiaowen), and Alan John Hobden; sisters, Lorraine Marie Hobden-Weathers and Susan Hobden Steward; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, Melanie, Catherine, and Rebecca Hobden, Heather Hobden-Weathers Chaffin (Jason), and Monica Steward.
Hobden worked 34 years with the Orleans Parish School Board in the maintenance department as an equipment repairman before retiring after Hurricane Katrina.
Funeral services were held on May 2 at Calvary Baptist Church, Slidell.

Kristofer M. Seuzeneau, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015, in Slidell.
He was 38 years old.
He was the father of Kristen Seuzeneau, Savannah Seuzeneau, and Kaitlynn Seuzeneau; son of Michael Seuzeneau (wife Susan) and Marlene Martin (husband Jim); brother of Misty Kinler, Michael Seuzeneau, and Nicholas Seuzeneau; and uncle of Troy, Kennedy, Landon, Sophia, and Leah.
He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for the past 18 years.

He was 40 years old.

He was a native and longtime resident of Slidell, was a 1992 graduate and member of the Slidell High School football team where he played defensive tackle, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Slidell.

She was 83 years old.

He was 53 years old.

Strain of Mandeville, and Debbie Sue Jones (Corkey Jones) of Mandeville; son of the late Porter and Annie Strain; brother of Jeannie McMorris (Jimmy McMorris), Donald Ray Strain, and the late Porter Strain Jr., Joseph Strain, Henry Strain (Deanna Strain), James “Buddy” Strain (Mary Strain), Marian Rudesill (Timmy Rudesill), Hilda Pellegrin (Johnny Pellegrin), Bobbie Nell Dash (Jimmy Dash), Laura Krall, and Catherine Alcorn; and grandfather of Crystelle Gonzales, Ancel T. Jones, Bradley W. Strain, Wesley T. Strain, T.J. Waites Jr., and the late Hunter J. Waites, III.
He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
He was a supervisor for Spartan Builder Corporation and for Prestessed Concrete.
