Sally W. Ramke, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014.
She was 70 years old.
She was the wife of Otis V. Ramke Jr.; and mother of Ann R. Berkins; Susan R. Streets, Laurie R. Brown, Kelly R. Lardin, and Kara R. Liberti.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 25 at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd., Slidell.

Raymond William Treadaway, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014.
He was 86 years old.
Treadaway was born February 17, 1928, in New Orleans, to the late Edwin and Isabel Clew Treadaway.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Yvonne B. Treadaway.
At a young age, Treadaway joined the Merchant Marines and spent a year in the Philippines and went on to join the Marines.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Rick and Tina Tague of Murfreesboro Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Mayu Treadaway of Abita Springs, La.; brother, Gayle Treadaway of Madison, Wash.; and grandchildren, Lyuke Treadaway and Lania Treadaway.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 25 at Honaker Funeral Home, Slidell.

Olvin Armani Cruz-Wheeler passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
He was 5 1/2 months old.
He is survived by is parents, Jamie L. Cruz and Olvin Flores-Cruz; grandparents, Holly and Larry Wheeler, Abelino Flores and Maria Celia Cruz Murrillo; and sisters, Beyankah Nataley Wheeler and Aleesia Hallie Cruz-Wheeler.
He is also survived by his uncle, Larry and Ashley Firebaugh; and cousin, Braydon Firebaugh.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 27 at D.T. Williams Funeral Home 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.
Richard Lundsgaard Sr. passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
He was 83 years old.
He was the son of the late Eugene C. Lundsgaard and Adele J Castaing; and husband of the late Ruth M. Lundsgaard.
He was proceeded in death by sons, Richard Jr. and Roderick.
He is survived by son, Randell (Michele); daughters, Rebecca Richey (Mark), and Rhonda (Carla); and six grandchildren.
He was born and grew up in New Orleans, and lived in Slidell until his death. He was a Marine Veteran who served in the Korean War and fought courageously in the Chosin Reservoir.
Graveside services were held at Southeastern Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888

Yvonne F. Logos, of Slidell, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
She was 87 years old.
She was the wife of the late Clayton A. Logos Sr.; mother of Clayton A. Logos Jr., Claire “Colleen” Johnson, Kathleen Carlone, and the late James Franklin Logos; daughter of the late Milton and Cassie Fitzgerald; and sister of the late William Fitzgerald.
She is also survived by six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was a native of Shreveport, La., a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish, and a resident of Slidell since 2005.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Memorial services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, on Friday, August 29 at 2 p.m.

James Stanley Checkan passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014.
He was 86 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Merry Jane Checkan; son, Gregg James Checkan; daughters, Kimberly Jaworski (Andy), Holly Fleck, and Linda Gail Legendre; and sister, Merrilyn Story (Clem).
Checkan was also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was a Navy pilot during World War II, and a graduate of University of Virginia, then employed by Boeing and Martin Marietta.
Family and friends are invited to attend the services at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, on Thursday, August 28.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. with the service starting at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery also located in Pearl River, Louisiana.
Gloria Abney passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2014, at her home in Slidell after a long battle with cancer.
She was 67 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin “Donnie” Abney; sons and their respective families, Craig and (Kristin) of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ashleigh (13), Ryleigh (8), Brayden (5), and Kayleigh (1); Steven and (Kim) of Slidell; granddaughters, Morgan (15) and Bailey (12), and David and (Tanya) of Slidell; grandson, Gunnar (5); and brother, Ivan Berling.
She worked as a Medical Transcriptionist at Howard Clinic for 24 years and as an Office Manager until the onset of her cancer in 2006.
She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and at Thompson Road Baptist Church where she played the piano and organ.
Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, on August 27.
